Make your visit to Gamagori even more memorable with a kimono crafted especially for you from traditional Mikawa cotton.

When booking, choose from six distinctive fabrics, each offering a different color, pattern, and texture. Your selected fabric will be carefully tailored into your own Mikawa cotton kimono.

The tailoring process takes approximately one month, creating a piece made specifically for you rather than a rental garment.

When you arrive in Gamagori, meet your professional, English-speaking guide and receive your finished kimono. A kimono specialist will then dress you properly, with an obi sash included to complete the look.
Mikawa cotton has been woven in this region for more than 400 years, carrying generations of local textile tradition. Wearing a kimono made from this regional fabric offers a personal way to connect with that heritage.

Best of all, the kimono is yours to keep and take home. More than a souvenir, it becomes a beautifully wearable reminder of your time in Japan.

One Hour Before Your Weaving Experience – Meet at the Seaside Literary Memorial Museum or Hotel Takeshima

Meet your English-speaking guide and receive the Mikawa cotton kimono that has been made for you in advance.

Kimono Fitting & Professional Dressing

Receive the kimono tailored from the Mikawa cotton fabric you selected when booking.

A kimono specialist will dress you before your weaving experience.

Your kimono includes an obi sash. Two koshihimo waist ties required for dressing will be provided on a rental basis.

Please note that tailoring your kimono takes approximately one month. Hairstyling and accessories such as tabi socks, geta sandals, and drawstring bags are not included.
