Shirakawago is covered in snow this season, giving you a view that looks like something out of a fairy tale. In Hida Takayama, you can freely stroll through the old townscape that has the atmosphere of the Edo period, where samurai once lived.

Shirakawago is a small village that is registered as a UNESCO World Heritage Site (cultural heritage). There are rows of private houses with a unique architectural style called Gassho-zukuri. At this time of year, you can enjoy the nostalgic village covered in snow, creating a fantastical landscape.
A total of 25 buildings are preserved, including 9 buildings designated as Gifu Prefecture’s Important Cultural Properties.

The three streets located in the center of Takayama City, which is lined with mansions built from the Edo period to the Meiji period, are tourist attractions that represent Hida Takayama, which is known as the “Furui Machinami (old townscape.)”
The vermilion bridge that spans the Miyagawa River that runs through the center of the city is a famous photo spot, located about a 5-minute walk from the Furui Machinami.

3. Shirakawago village may not be covered with snow depending on the weather conditions. Please understand that the tour will not be canceled and refunds will not be given for this reason.
4. The amount of time spent on each activity and arrival times may differ depending on road conditions and crowding at destinations.

8. Infants under the age of three who do not require a seat are free of charge. Children three and above are charged full adult admission.

10. Be sure to come to the designated meeting places punctually upon returning from each activity spot and the toilet breaks. The bus will depart as scheduled regardless attendance. There will be no refunds nor can we offer assistance for alternative methods of transportation in exchange for buses missed due to failure to return on time.
11. Depending on traffic and congestion at the destination, some of the activities included in the itinerary may not be available. In such cases, we will refund the fee for unavailable activities.
12. This tour does not include meals for guests. You are free to eat at each spot or bring your own meals.
