Meet your English-speaking guide at Hotel Takeshima and get ready for your Japanese cooking experience.

11:35 AM – Onigiri & Futomaki Sushi-Making Experience

Watch rice being freshly cooked in a traditional Japanese kama pot before making your own onigiri with your choice of fillings.

Next, learn the art of futomaki from a professional hotel chef, beginning with a close-up demonstration of how the ingredients are arranged, the sushi is rolled, and the finished roll is carefully sliced.

Choose your favorite ingredients and create a full futomaki roll yourself. As you cook, your English-speaking guide will introduce the local ingredients of Gamagori and Mikawa and share insights into the food traditions surrounding rice, onigiri, and sushi. Finish by enjoying the dishes you have prepared together.
