An immersive journey in Mino that unlocks participants’ sensibilities through a sequence of tea ceremony, pottery creation, and gastronomy.
Developed in Tajimi, a production center of Mino ware, this high value-added BtoB program primarily targets overseas ceramic buyers. The experience integrates tea ceremony, pottery-making, and gastronomy into one immersive narrative.
Rather than a simple production site visit or product explanation, participants experience the spirituality, materials, craftsmanship, and fusion with food culture behind each vessel through all five senses.
The program aims to deepen understanding and generate business opportunities. It is also positioned as a high-end experiential tour for affluent travelers from Europe, the US, and Australia seeking authenticity and uniqueness, maximizing regional economic impact.
Concept:Dialogue with the Origins
An immersive three-step experience transcending language barriers through the five senses:
1. Spirit & Touch — Tea Ceremony at Kamaya-an

By physically using museum-class vessels, participants deeply feel the Japanese reverence and attachment to ceramics.
→ Understanding the value of vessels as objects meant to be used.
2. Creation & Soil — Pottery Experience at THE GROUND MINO
Touch Mino clay and experience both the challenge and joy of shaping it.
→ Cultivating a discerning eye for ceramics and gaining knowledge useful for storytelling and sales.
3. Integration & Taste — Dining Experience at Kitchen Studio
“The Vessel Buffet”: Participants choose vessels based on personal sensibility, and the chef responds in a live improvisational session.
Co-creation dining: Participants actively contribute to the dining presentation rather than passively consuming.
→ Empirically understanding how vessels influence the dining experience.
