Meet your instructor and get an introduction to Nagoya’s food culture and the menu.

10:15 AM – Prepare rice for cooking
Rinse and soak the rice—a foundational step in Japanese home cooking.
10:30 AM – Local shopping trip
Visit a nearby supermarket to select fresh vegetables for miso soup and a traditional butcher to buy pork cutlets. (Pre-purchased in advance on shop holidays)

11:30 AM – Cooking session begins
Boil rice, prepare miso soup, and coat and fry your tonkatsu using flour, egg, and panko.



12:15 PM – Lunch time
Enjoy your handmade misokatsu teishoku (set meal) with rice and soup.

The tour concludes back at NAGONOYA.
